About
Amanda has always been fascinated with horses and has been able to work with them for over 28 years. She got her start working with problem ponies for someone who lived down the road. After getting a horse of her own, she moved it to a local boarding facility where she got involved learning barrels and was introduced into the show world.
From there, Amanda competed and did well in Arabian breed and open horse shows, locally and nationally in Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, Equitation, Showmanship, Halter, Reining, Show Hack, Hunter Hack, Trail, and currently working with her students with Ranch Riding. Amanda has had the opportunity to work under multiple trainers to give her a variety of techniques and disciplines to help her as she trains horses and works with her students. Amanda studied Equine Science at Utah State University and was on the English and Western Equestrian teams which competed in the region. While at Utah State, she met and married her husband and currently live in Brigham City and have 3 children who also love horses. Amanda started Luki Performance Horses (previously known as Luki Arabians) in 2012 and has taken her riders to win high points many times. She loves to teach the joy that comes from working as a team with your horse in and out of the show ring. She teaches beginning through advanced riders and also trains all breeds, working with what the owners goal is to achieve for each individual animal. She currently is serving on the board for the Utah Arabian Horse Club and has judged many local shows where she enjoys seeing the love of horses going strong. She currently has opening for lessons and training. She would love to talk with you about your goals. |
